Unexpected Kindness
Tonight we were blessed by the kindness of a stranger. Sawyer and I wandered into Old Navy on this tax-free weekend, it was crowded to say the least. He was on the move and found the big bouncy ball dispenser. He started looking it over and lifting up the lid to see if any would magically fall out. Well, his curiousity attracted some teenagers and we were laughing about it when one of the boys stuck in a quarter and let Sawyer turn the handle until one of the balls fell out. It was such a small thing but to Sawyer it meant the world. I was really touched at the thoughtfulness of this sweet kid and just wanted to share it with you guys. So, thanks out there to all of you that perform random acts of kindness, they really do make a difference.

nice story...
I love that. Things like that mean everything to a kid, especially when it's a teenager who does it. Warms my heart!
That happened with us when my nephew was maybe 5. We were at an arcade and these teenage boys came up and gave him huge fistfuls of game tickets they'd won. They didn't know it was his birthday, but it was the very most perfect thing that could have happened. He's 15 now. I need to remind him that that happened. He's the sort of teenager now who would totally do that for a little kid.
(This is Holly in Nashville, by the way, since you probably don't know my blogger id)
